Perfumes and aftershaves smell lush. I’m a fan of Coolwater for Men, and any guy wearing that will always get a second glance from me, but did you know that alcohol based perfumes (all shop-bought fragrances) mask the natural pheromones in the body? To have healthy children, you must allow your pheromones to play cupid to attract a chemically compatible partner.
Not what everyone wants to hear, but hey I’m going through a weird patch. I want to help the environment. Essential oils are magical, and they are used in perfumes and aftershaves more than they should be used in cleaning products that are better for the environment. Regarding cleaning products, you can make them yourself with water and ten drops of essential oil of lemon. Lemon is a natural antibacterial aid so it will kill bacteria, cut through grease, and fragrances the home naturally without any chemicals. I made my first bottle yesterday, and it works better than Mr Muscle Lemon. I accidentally dropped my carton of Lurpak on the floor, and it landed everywhere. I wiped it away with my own lemon fragranced cleaner, and the grease from the butter dissolved like magic.
Anyhow, back onto the blog. You can, however, make your own perfume. Essential oils are fairly cheap to buy. The most expensive of the oils are Rose otto, Jasmine, and Neroli. The sexiest fragrances are Sandalwood, Grapefruit, Vanilla, Coffee, and Ginger. I buy my essential oils from Aromatherapy Direct. They are cheap to buy, but they are quality oils. I would not recommend branded aromatherapy products like those from Neal Yard Remedies, you are paying for the name not the quality.
Not sure how these blend together (I will have to experiment for you) but if you blend essential oils into a little carrier oil and apply it to the pulse points on the body – nape of neck, backs of ears, inside elbows, backs of knees, and wrists – the fragrance will last almost all day. Plus it is cheap, and it will enhance your natural pheromones because the essential oils are no use in a perfume/aftershave because the alcohol has absorbed the magical properties.
The home made fragrance I am using at the moment includes a little olive oil and five drops of vanilla and lemon oil. It smells divine! The recipe for this is already blogged.
If you prefer to go au natural, your natural pheromones are found in sweat – which is why you can feel horny during a workout. It is also found in the sexual juices of smegma (the white secretions that is found in the outer vagina and foreskin in the penis), and finally, urine.
